A Devastating Fire

The fire brigade was given an urgent call. Soon a desolating fire engulfed the whole area. A large number of people gathered. They started pouring buckets of water on the flames and struggled hard to put out the fire. A strong wind only worsened the situation. By the time the fire brigade reached almost fifty shops were in flames. The fireman did a wonderful job. The fire could be completely put out in two hours. A fireman did a brave job. Ans. The polio Camp was held under the National Polio Eradication Campaign by the primary health center in the Phool Bagh on 15th April. Along tent was erected. There was a long queue of children with their parents. The drops of polio vaccine were given the children up to five years. The small babies were in mother’s arms. There were an officer and a guide who was writing down the name and the address. They were making a mark with the indelible ink on the nail of the children. The nurses were then dropping the two drops of vaccine into the mouth of the children. After giving the vaccine the nurses inform the parents that they shouldn’t give anything to eat or drink to their child for half an hour otherwise the vaccine given to the child won’t be of any use.
